Masonry screws, also known as concrete and tapcon screws, are durable heavy-duty screws for brick and concrete applications. They are stainless steel and designed to withstand very high loads.
Most concrete screws are self-tapping screws which are very easy to install. Simply drill a hole to your required depth, clean out the debris with compressed air or a hoover, line-up the fixture and fasten the screw in place to secure.
Concrete screws vary in size and head type, including countersunk head, hex head & panhead.
The required screwdriver bit depends on the specification of your screws, however, as a general guideline, the drill bit should be slightly smaller than the diameter of the screw threads (typically 1mm smaller).
