Fire-Rated Rockwool Insulation Slabs

Rockwool, one of the world's biggest insulation brands, manufactures fire-rated insulation products using rock mineral wool.

Rock mineral wool is composed of a volcanic rock-based fibre combining Basalt Rock and Recycled Slag. As it's made from volcanic rock, it achieves the highest Euroclass fire rating (A1) and offers excellent thermal, acoustic, and mould-resistant performance.

At UKFR, we sell a wide range of Rockwool insulation products, including RWA45, Rainscreen Duo, and UB34, which are available as pack and pallet bulk-buy deals so you can get the best price possible.

As one of the most versatile insulation brands out there, Rockwool's highly durable insulation slabs are suitable for many applications, including walls, floors, and ceilings.

They're designed to meet your requirements as best as possible, with varying thicknesses to choose from. They're also incredibly easy to cut down to size if they're too big for the gap you need to fill.

Check out some of our best-selling Rockwool insulation products below, including:

Rockwool RWA45

Rockwool RWA45 is a non-combustible, highly versatile insulation slab suitable for partition walls, ceilings, floors, and roofs. It has a thermal density of 45 kg/m3 and offers great thermal, acoustic, and fire properties, making it a great all-around high-performance insulation choice.

Availability: 25mm - 100mm thickness

Thermal Conductivity: 0.035 W/m.K

Specialist facings are available to order to meet the specifications of unique projects - please contact us for further information.

Rockwool RainScreen Duo Slab

Rockwool's Rainscreen slab is a high-performance stone wool insulation slab used for both ventilated cladding and sealed system applications.

It's unique because it uses Dual-Density technology, whereby the outer surface has a higher density than the underside. This helps improve its weather resistance and reduce noise transfer.

Availability: 50mm - 225mm thickness

Sound reduction: Up to 62 Rw

Rockwool Insulation Ticks All The Boxes For Your Home

Fire resistance
Rockwool is made from mineral wool, does not conduct high temperatures, and achieves the highest fire rating (Euroclass A1). Because of this, it's used in applications where fire safety protocols are in the highest demand, such as partition walls and ceilings.

Thermal performance
Mineral wool is a breathable material, so you'll be able to keep your home warm in the winter and cooler in the summer. This will result in lower energy bills, as your home will use less power to maintain a comfortable temperature.

Soundproofing
Rockwool helps reduce noise transfer between walls, which is ideal for blocking out noisy neighbours and cars passing by your home.

Long-lasting performance
Rockwool stone wool insulation is designed to last at least 65 years without noticing any changes in performance.

Easy Installation
Rockwool slabs are easy to install, provided you have some prior DIY knowledge. They can also be cut down to any size you need and friction-fit into place with ease.
