Danosa are a well known manufacturer of roofing products including Danosa felt for torch on roofing. Danosa’s torch on felt features exceptional waterproofing and long lasting performance.
Torch On Felt Capping Sheet
The Danosa Felt Torch on system features two capping sheets designed to be used above the Danosa Felt Underlay layer. These capping sheets include the Danosa Polydan 180-60/GP Elast and the Danosa Esterdan Plus 50/GP Elast.

The Danosa Esterdan 30/P Elast is designed to be used below a Danosa capping sheet.
Torch On Felt Insulation Board & AVCL Layer for Warm Roofs
On a cold roof build up, using the torch on felt underlay and a capping sheet is suitable.
However, when installing a torch on felt warm roof it is essential to use the compatible insulation materials. Recticel Powerdeck U is specifically engineered to be used alongside torch on felt waterproofing systems. It is also important to use an air vapour control layer below the insulation such as the Danosa Glasdan 30 AP Elast Sanded AVCL.

Torch on felt is usually installed with an underlay layer. For the Danosa system the Danosa Esterdan 30/P Elast is used below the capping sheets.
Although torch on roofing has its benefits, the naked flame can pose health and safety risks. Our RESITRIX SKW is an innovative EPDM bitumen hybrid roof covering that is hot air welded. This has a similar installation process to many torch on felt roofing systems, however is much safer and is installed as a single layer.
The longevity of a torch on felt roof entirely depends on the system used and whether it was correctly installed. The Danosa felt carries a 30 year life expectancy BBA Certificate, making this one of the most premium torch on felt roofing systems on the market.
