Overview

This bituminous SBS-modified capsheet is reinforced with non-woven polyester felt, ensuring durability and strength. The upper surface is finished with mineral chippings for added protection, while the underside features a quick-melt thermofusible film, making it ideal for torch-applied applications and Safe2Torch details using hot air.

Scope of Use

  • Pitched Roofs: Perfect for waterproofing under tiles on pitched roofs, providing significant thickness and mechanical resistance.
  • Multi-Layer Roof Systems: Acts as a dependable capsheet with mineral self-protection in multi-layer roof waterproofing systems.
  • Single-Layer Systems: Suitable as a standalone waterproofing membrane in single-layer systems.

Advantages & Benefits

  • High Piercing Resistance: Exceptional resistance to both static and dynamic piercing ensures robust protection.
  • Self-Healing and Rot-Proof: Features self-healing properties and is resistant to rot, ensuring long-lasting performance.
  • UV Resistance: The mineral finish provides excellent protection against ultraviolet rays.
  • High Tensile Strength: Delivers strong tensile strength and significant elongation at break, ensuring durability and flexibility.
  • Tear Resistance: High resistance to tearing enhances the longevity and durability of the membrane.
  • Total Impermeability: Completely impervious to water and water vapour, ensuring reliable waterproofing.
  • Long-Term Stability: Maintains its performance and integrity over extended periods.
  • Adaptability: Easily adapts to any type of geometry, providing versatile application options.

Support Compatibility

  • Old Bitumen Membranes: Can be applied over existing bitumen membranes for refurbishment projects.
  • Thermal Insulation Products: Compatible with a variety of thermal insulation materials.
  • Concrete Substrates: Suitable for application on concrete surfaces.
  • Mortar Substrates: Can be applied over mortar substrates.

This product is an excellent choice for robust and long-lasting waterproofing solutions in various applications, ensuring high performance and durability.

Instruction for Use

Preparation of the substrate:
-The surface of the base substrate shall be resistant, uniform, smooth, clean, dry and free of foreign bodies. In the case of thermal insulation, the boards shall be laid in a grid and with no gaps between boards greater than 0.5 cm.

  • Top layer of multi-layer membranes with mineral self-protection. The sheet is laid in the same direction as the bottom sheet, with the overlap line offset by approximately half of the roll. The sheet is fully welded to the bottom sheet with a blowtorch. The overlaps are to be welded and are 8±1 cm in the longitudinal direction and 10±1 cm in the transverse direction. To join the transverse overlap at the ends of the rolls, it is necessary to heat the transverse edge of the lower sheet in a 10 cm strip, eliminating or embedding the protection aggregate in the bituminous mass and then weld the end of the following piece.
  • Self-protected single-layer membrane, adhered system. The adhesion of the membrane to the substrate is done with a blowtorch. In the case of mortar or concrete substrates, a bituminous primer (Curidán, Impridán 100, Maxdán or Maxdán Caucho) must be applied beforehand. If the substrate is a weldable thermal insulation board, i.e. asphalt-finished (Rocdán A or Rocdán PIR VA), the primer is not necessary. The overlaps are to be welded and shall be 8±1 cm in the longitudinal direction and 10±1 cm in the transverse direction. To join the transversal overlap at the ends of the rolls, it is necessary to previously heat the transversal edge of the lower sheet in a strip of 10 cm, eliminating or embedding the protection aggregate in the bituminous mass and then weld the end of the following piece.
  • Waterproofing under tiles on pitched roofs. Proceed as described above, but mechanically fasten the overlaps.

Do you offer Free Delivery?

Yes! On most insulation orders over £350 Excluding Vat we can offer free delivery. However, this does depend on the delivery location and stock available. If this is the case one of our advisors will contact you to confirm any changes. Please feel free to send your enquiry over through get a quote or WhatsApp and we will work out the costs for you.

We always endeavour to have your order travel the least amount of miles to you in order to ensure free or the cheapest and most economic delivery option.

Orders below £350 Excluding Vat are usually subject to a delivery fee of £50 Excluding VAT on these items.

Where will you deliver my order to?

Please note that all of our deliveries are kerbside only and it is your responsibility to get it from the Kerb onto your property. It is at the discretion of the courier where the order is left.

Please ensure you have ample space to offload.

Delivery access and site restrictions

We use pallet couriers for these items and they tend to be delivered on large 18T/26T lorries.

A Rigid lorry is approximately 18 / 26 tonnes with the capacity for 12 / 14 pallets. They are usually 10m / 12m Long, 4m high and 2.6m wide as an average.

Please ensure you advise us of any restrictions or access issues you may forsee with this size vehicle, failure to do so may result in extra delivery charges.

When do you dispatch orders?

If your order is placed before 12pm we aim to have these processed and dispatched onto our lorries the next day.

However, sometimes our lorries are already full and booked, so this might be 2 to 5 working days after you place your order. In some scenarios the stock may need to be brought in from another branch which can extend the delivery time up to 10 working days from processing your order. Some areas are also subject to set delivery days due to their distance from the local branch.

Please ensure to leave a mobile number so that we can contact you with your delivery date once we have received confirmation from the local branch. This also allows ourselves or the delivery driver to contact you if there are any issues with your delivery.

Why we need your contact number?

It is essential for us to have your contact number to allow ourselves or the delivery driver to contact you if there is an issue with your delivery.

For orders of this nature we will likely contact you after you have placed the order online to discuss delivery options and any site restrictions or offloading requirements you may have.

Please leave a mobile number as this is normally best for the delivery driver as well.

How much will my delivery cost?

Our delivery costs vary depending on what product is ordered and where it is being delivered to. When you add items to your basket and proceed to checkout the delivery prices will be stated. We keep our delivery costs as low as possible and only pass on the rates that our delivery partners charge us.

How long will my delivery take?

On the product page you will see our usual lead time for our items, these are above the ADD TO BASKET button. These are a guide only and we aim to get your items delivered to you ASAP.
