Danosa CURIDAN 25kg

Danosa CURIDAN 25kg is a water-based bituminous emulsion designed for priming and preparing surfaces before welding bituminous sheets in roofing applications. It meets the specifications outlined in UNE 104-231 (type EA).

Overview

Danosa CURIDAN 25kg is formulated as a water-based bituminous emulsion, ideal for priming and preparing various surfaces including mortar, metallic sheets, and wood. It provides excellent adhesion on both porous and non-porous surfaces, ensuring optimal performance in waterproofing and asphalt treatments.

Scope of Use

  • Priming for Bituminous Sheets: Prepares surfaces for welding bituminous sheets on roofs, ensuring proper adhesion.
  • Surface Preparation: Suitable for priming porous surfaces that will be waterproofed or treated with asphalt products.
  • Surface Protection: Protects buried concrete structures and concrete elements from dampness in civil engineering applications.

Advantages & Benefits

  • Water-Based and Solvent-Free: Environmentally friendly formulation that is safe to use.
  • Good Adhesion: Provides reliable adhesion on wet and dry surfaces, enhancing application flexibility.
  • Modified Bitumen Composition: Contains modified bitumen for improved performance and durability.
  • Fluid and Easy Application: Easy to apply with a brush, paintbrush, roller, or spray, allowing for efficient coverage.
  • Long Life Expectancy: Offers durability and long-term performance once applied.
  • Versatile Application: Can be applied in closed rooms without concerns about fumes or ventilation requirements.

Support Compatibility

  • Concrete Substrates: Suitable for use on concrete surfaces.
  • Wooden Substrates: Compatible with wood surfaces.
  • Mortar Substrates: Ideal for application on mortar surfaces.

CURIDAN 25kg is a versatile solution for surface preparation and priming in various construction and waterproofing applications, offering ease of use and long-lasting protection.

Instruction for Use

Preparation of the substrate:
Surface condition: It must be clean of dust, grease, paint residues, plaster and foreign bodies.
Substrate preparation: Loose or poorly adhered particles shall be removed, so it is recommended to clean the surface to be primed. If necessary, the surface should be levelled with a mortar which should be properly trowelled.
Type of substrate: CURIDAN should not be applied to polished surfaces as this may lead to adhesion failures.
Substrate moisture: CURIDAN can be applied to dry or damp surfaces, but without water run-off.
Drying time: Depends on ambient temperature, sunshine and relative humidity. Check that the primer is dry to the touch.
Application tools: Can be applied by spray, brush, brush or roller.
Minimum application temperature: CURIDAN must not be installed when the temperature is below +5°C.

  • Priming and preparation of porous surfaces where a bituminous film is to be subsequently welded. It can be used undiluted or diluted with water (10-20%), up to the desired concentration. Once the substrate is very dry, apply a coat of CURIDAN, making sure that the pores are well impregnated. The approximate coverage is 0.2-0.5 kg/m². In the case of bridges and parking decks, the coverage should be 0.2 kg/m². In bonded systems, the bituminous sheet is fully welded, so the entire surface must be primed. In non-bonded or floating systems, the bituminous sheet is only welded at singular points (parapets, drains, expansion joints, etc…), and these elements must be primed.
  • Priming and preparation of porous surfaces that are subsequently to be waterproofed or treated with asphalt products. It can be used undiluted or diluted with water (10-20%), up to the desired concentration. Once the substrate is very dry, apply a coat of CURIDAN, taking care to impregnate the pores well. It may be necessary to apply a second coat depending on the state and absorbent power of the substrate. The approximate coverage is 0.3-0.5 kg/m².
  • Surface protection against humidity of buried concrete structures in civil works without great demands (walls, fins and abutments, foundations, pipelines, etc…). Two coats of CURIDAN should be applied with an approximate total final coverage between the two coats of 0.5-0.75 kg/m² depending on the substrate. Before applying one coat, check that the previous coat is completely dry.

In some scenarios the stock may need to be brought in from another branch which can extend the delivery time up to 10 working days from processing your order. Some areas are also subject to set delivery days due to their distance from the local branch.

Please ensure to leave a mobile number so that we can contact you with your delivery date once we have received confirmation from the local branch. This also allows ourselves or the delivery driver to contact you if there are any issues with your delivery.

Why we need your contact number?

It is essential for us to have your contact number to allow ourselves or the delivery driver to contact you if there is an issue with your delivery.

For orders of this nature we will likely contact you after you have placed the order online to discuss delivery options and any site restrictions or offloading requirements you may have.

Please leave a mobile number as this is normally best for the delivery driver as well.

How much will my delivery cost?

Our delivery costs vary depending on what product is ordered and where it is being delivered to. When you add items to your basket and proceed to checkout the delivery prices will be stated. We keep our delivery costs as low as possible and only pass on the rates that our delivery partners charge us.

How long will my delivery take?

On the product page you will see our usual lead time for our items, these are above the ADD TO BASKET button. These are a guide only and we aim to get your items delivered to you ASAP.
