Traditional green roofs which are made from sedum matting can be tricky to install due to the weight and required alterations to achieve the visuals you’re looking for. Our green roof kits are designed to take the stress and difficulty away, coming as a pre-prepared all-in-one tray system that’s lightweight, easy to install and has optimal plant coverage.

They’re suitable for a wide range of flat and pitched roof systems including:

Mr Green Sedum Trays (460mm x 495mm)

These are designed for use on roofs with a 0 to 15-degree pitch. These kits come with our 3 in 1 tray which combines, drainage board, substrate and sedum to suit your roof. All you need is trims!

GrufeKit Sedum Trays (540mm x 540mm)

These kits are designed for easy on-site handling. The trays are a combination of roof drain, extensive substrate and sedum to suit your roof and add instant impact. All you need is trims!

GrufeKit Sedum & Wildflower Trays (540mm x 540mm)

These roofing kits blend Sedums with native Wildflower to create a diverse green roof product. This will come with protective fleece, and the GrufeKit 3-in-1 trays which combine a drainage board, substrate, sedum and wildflowers for your green roof.

To complete your kit, all you’ll need is the roof edge trims to secure each tray in position. Depending on the accessibility of the roof, you might also want to use walkway pebbles which act as a visually pleasing pathway to walk across. We also supply underlay fleeces which are used in conjunction with rubber membranes for protection.

You will also need to ensure you have a suitable waterproofing layer below. We recommend EPDM.
