Benefits of Insulation Tube Fixings

Insulation tube fixings eliminate the risk of hot cold bridging which can cause damp issues.

The reason hot cold bridging happens with standard fixings (plate and screw) is due to the temperature difference between the top and bottom of the screw (usually hot inside and cold outside) this creates a thermal bridge which can cause vapour to occur on the screw tip which is below the vapour barrier. This vapour turns into droplets and will create damp issues.

These damp issues can occur without knowledge for many years but will often stain the ceiling.

The worst example we have heard about was in a large supermarket where the screw tips were dripping into the store, this confused the customers due to the lack of rain.
