The Sure Edge Kerb Trim is used to improve the appearance of your roof edge and secure the membrane to the fascia edge. Creating a tight upstand seal, water will be directed away from the kerb and into the gutter system without seeping through any gaps.
Supplied with pre drilled holes, 50mm PolyTop pins to suit and one joining clip per trim.
This is designed with a compression seal along the underside to create a water-tight seal to the roofing membrane, eliminating the need of creating a timber upstand as a water check.
With quick & simple kerb trim installation in mind, it is ideal for Professional & DIY roofers looking for a durable and professional finish to their EPDM roofing system.
It has been manufactured using extremely strong uPVC to create a solid construction with hard-wearing, durable properties, ready to handle heavy rainfall without water seeping through (providing proper installation).
Available in Gloss White, Gloss Black & Gloss Anthracite Grey in 2.0-metre lengths.
If you are installing a new kerb trim system, don’t forget to buy your corners! We sell Internal and External Sure Edge Corners available in the same colours as our gutter trim so everything can match up.
How to install Sure Edge Kerb Trim:
Watch our simple video guide for easy instructions on kerb trim installation. Please follow Sure Edge’s kerb trim instructions if you cannot access the video.
- Before installation of the membrane ensure a solid fixing can be achieved at the perimeter of the roof. A timber fixer can be installed if required.
- Install the membrane to the roof surface as per the manufacturers’ specifications.
- Ensure the membrane extends down the vertical edge of the roof by a minimum of 50mm.
- Position the edge trim onto the roof surface so the sealant foam is compressed by 30% and the face of the trim is in a vertical position.
- Using the 50mm PolyTop nails fix the edge trim into position. A fixing must be in each predrilled hole to achieve correct installation.
- Position the next length of the front plate leaving a 1mm expansion gap for each metre of trim used. Ensure that each trim has a foam seal extending up the end to create a seal between trim lengths.
- Fit the cover clips at each joint between lengths of trim.
- Install corners or stop ends where needed.
